Derived from pre-war truck models produced by General Motors, the 2 1/2 ton truck entered service in early 1941, GMC building some 560,000 versions of the 66 truck, with more than 200,000 copies build by other contractors being provided via lend-lease. The 209-10 list an empty weight for my M342a2 w/w as 15,500 and the 361-10 list it as 15,775. Below are a couple pics of 2 different data plates in a pair of M342A2 wo/w with 3,700 lbs between them.
