I ended up with long glaive, long bardiche and short bardiche in my inventory. While you fighting foot troops you dont need long glaive to fight them. You can do with long bardiche. Exceptions are armies with lots of pikes, there you wold want to have long couching lance, since AI is terrible at timing of thrusts so you can couch-harass them. This sandbox action-RPG strategy hybrid will take players on a journey into a fictional world of up-close and personal medieval combat on a huge scale, bigger, bloodier and more intense than ever before. I tend to keep the glaive fairly short so that I can use it in siege too and the increased swing speed make up for the decreased reach.Haven't used the Long Glaive yet but I think I'll like it for the flexibility of using as a lance one handed with a shield in the other. I've been using the Glaive like that and got lucky in a few battles charging far ahead of my line with my shield raised against projectiles hunting the enemy commander and disrupting their formation.
